We had a great time staying at the Pennings, and would definitely consider returning if visiting the area again. The property itself is lovely, very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It worked perfectly for our party of 4 adults and 3 kids. The local area is also very nice, with villages and pubs a short drive, and lots of places interest to visit. Recommend the short walk to Wady's for a cider or two too! The only note of caution is that you can hear traffic from the road, it didn't bother us at all, but worth bearing in mind if you're sensitive to that kind of thing.

Had a terrible experience with this stay. Although it was a lovely property on lovely grounds it was filthy inside. The play room as they advertised was full of the owners belongings and washing so was unusable. Along with hundreds of dead flies (I get that can’t be helped but proved it wasn’t cleaned before our stay. Never got the holiday feel we paid for unfortunately and you can definitely tell it’s used regularly by the owners. Drawers and cupboards were rammed full of stuff. Family photos on show. The list goes on. Be wary of this one. Cottages.com were brilliant however in dealing with us
