Site Description
Henfields Country Retreat is part of our Autograph Lodge Holidays Collection and is nestled in the foothills of the Quantock Hills with panoramic views of the Mendips and Somerset levels. Designed to ensure guests have a luxurious stay whether you are here for a romantic break or a getaway for the family.
The site is located in walking distance of the local village where you will be able to find somewhere to eat and drink or even just to pick up something from the local shop. After a day exploring the countryside via the popular footpaths or even visiting the local 18 hole golf course, you can retreat to your open plan living accommodation and enjoy the hot tub with the spectacular countryside views.
No day visitors, guests will only be allowed on site if they are booked to stay in the lodge. Check in is available from 4pm and check out is 9am to allow extra time for extended cleaning routines.

Wow, what an excellent holiday home experience which surpassed our expectations! The Boxing Hares Lodge really is true luxury! Let this review fill you with confidence to book!The lodge feels more like a home, it gave us that home from home experience! It really is a perfect holiday for two couples as the two bedrooms are mirror image of one another with either a shower room or a bathroom. We were fortunate to have the whole lodge to ourselves so ample space to have a dressing room and a sleep room (big comfy beds). The spa bath was a special touch which we enjoyed. The shower had good pressure and was always warm. The lodge has a boiler so the heating (which was easy to use) was fabulous keeping us cosy in the winter temperatures! The fully equipped kitchen was a delight to cook in and dine in. Occasionally lodges have small dishwashers yet this lodge has a full size one which is fab. Having a washing machine/dryer was fantastic to use after the walk in the onsite squirrel woods. The design of the lodge positioned the sofa area looking out onto the site so we had lovely views to relax too. We normally stay in high end lodges with hot tubs and this was our 12th lodge holiday and this is the best HOT TUB experience... so do look forward to it as this really will be a holiday to remember as it was for us! The little things really made a difference to our stay... like the lighting to help in darkness, the fabulous WIFI so that we could enjoy film nights, the electrical gate securing the retreat providing a good feeling to help us relax plus much more.We feel fortunate to have experienced this retreat, Thank You for making a comfortable and luxurious stay for us!

The lodge was clean and spacious with everything needed for a relaxing break. The bed was really comfortable and we had no problem getting a great sleep. The spa was checked and cleaned daily which was very reassuring. A lovely place to stay and everyone was really helpful. Would recommend
