Situated in a wonderful location, just outside the small village of Thorncombe in West Dorset, near the Somerset border, this single-storey, detached barn conversion offers a great opportunity to get away from it all. There are many attractions to enjoy right on the doorstep, with the historic and famous Forde Abbey and Gardens, Broadwindsor Craft Centre and some delightful Dorset villages. Within easy driving you will find Lyme Regis on the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, where you can enjoy soaking up the sun on the sandy beach, or simply pass the time away walking along this stunning stretch of coastline. Maybe try boating, fishing, crabbing or even some fossil hunting on the shore. Inland, for some fun all the family can enjoy, the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum never ceases to thrill, or for lovers of classic cars, travel towards the Haynes Motor Museum. For the outdoor enthusiasts, there are some fantastic local walks available, with three national recreational footpaths on the doorstep of The Old Dairy. Excellent cottage with beautiful views. Comfortable and lovely location. Very narrow lanes for access and slight distance from nearest shop but definitely didn’t find this a problem. Highly recommend.

The cottage is very nice and in a very nice location but the access roads are very narrow and not for a nervous driver... the oven could do with a good clean and there are a few minor maintenance bits needing doing which we assume will be sorted during the winter season when the cottage isn't let so often. I would change the directions to get to the property to take the right hand turn towards Winsham at the cross roads and then left before The Squirrel (signposted Thorncombe) instead of the right turn on the left hand bend off the B road from Crewkerne and then two T junctions as the current route involves a blind junction with no visibility of oncoming traffic on the B road.
