A perfect base to explore Somerset, Devon and Dorset, there are many characterful towns, national trust sites (such as Barrington Court) and fascinating itineraries to fill your days. Pop down to the coast for breakfast in Lyme Regis before moseying eastwards to the Jurassic coast, West Bay (setting of “Broadchurch”) and Bridport. The next day, head north to Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge and the beautiful Quantock Hills or maybe take in the pretty towns of Langport and Somerton. Both the Blackdown Hills and the Dorset Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty lie within close reach for a day out full of outdoor adventure, or spend a day in historic Yeovil, Chad or Taunton, all just a scenic drive away.
