Newly renovated in 2022 in a way that is sympathetic to the age of the cottage yet packed full of modern features and your creature comforts, this cottage has it all. On the ground floor you will find the fabulous kitchen that comes extremely well equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher,and electric hob, as well as everything you will need during your stay. The utility room has a microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer, leading off from here is the downstairs shower room with walk-in shower.
The stunning dining room has original oak panelled walls and beamed ceilings, while the living room has dual aspect windows, beams, comfy seating and electric wood burner. Upstairs you will find three spacious bedrooms, one being a twin and the other two having king sized beds, the master bedroom has wonderful views over the fields beyond. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and heated towel rail.
Outside you will find a glorious lawned garden with amazing countryside views to sit back and enjoy, while to the rear you will find a partially covered barn with your own hot tub and games area, it’s the perfect spot for all the family to relax and have fun!
The Moat House is set in the hamlet of Cudworth, just a few miles from both Chard and Ilminster towns, both with a mix of shops and local eateries to enjoy. The larger towns of Yeovil and Taunton are easily reached in under 30 minutes where a larger selection of shops and entertainment can be found. Several National Trust properties can be found nearby as well as country parks such as Ham Hill and Castle Neroche. Lyme Regis beach is just over 20 minutes away by car and is a great day out for all the family!

This was our 4th time staying at the Moat House and it was just as cosy and relaxing as the 1st. Very peaceful and quite but with facilities not too far away.

Wow. What a great place. We couldn’t fault anything. We celebrated New Year at the cottage with our family and it was amazing. It was so good we have booked again for this year. The welcome pack is such a lovely touch. The hot tub is the best one we have ever had, and we have had many. If you are thinking about booking this cottage just do it you won’t be disappointed.Thank you very much to the owners.
