Guests say

Ham Cottage is consistently praised for its spaciousness, comfortable furnishings, and beautiful setting. Guests appreciate the peaceful garden, the proximity to local attractions, and the dog-friendly environment. The village's charm and the availability of good walks and pubs enhance the stay. Some minor maintenance issues and a lack of welcome gifts are noted, but overall, the cottage offers a delightful holiday experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score for this category.

The location is highly regarded, with guests mentioning the quiet, attractive village, good local walks, and proximity to National Trust properties and the Jurassic coast. The presence of a good pub within walking distance is frequently noted.

Comfort is a strong point for Ham Cottage, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the rooms spacious. The large garden and BBQ area are appreciated for relaxation. However, some guests mentioned the need for non-slip mats in the bath and better covers for lounge furniture.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen, tennis court, and BBQ area. However, some guests reported maintenance issues such as sticking doors and a blind falling off, which slightly lowers the score.

While guests are content with the facilities and the owner's helpfulness, there are remarks about the absence of a welcome pack, which is not guaranteed, and basic supplies like soap and additional toilet rolls. This suggests room for improvement in thoughtfulness towards guests' needs.

Very comfortable with nice beds, great shower, a good equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer. Netflix installed and several other streaming channels and WiFi. Just lovely! A good pub at 5 minutes walk and east lambrook gardens as neighbour. Close to everything we needed (supermarket etc) and wanted to visit. Will be going back in the future! Very recommendable!

It was lovely to meet you both. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. ( mirrors in the bedrooms would be nice for the ladies). Plenty to see in the area and we got lots of walking in. The pub in the village was a bonus for eating out in walking distance. Thank you again.

It was nice that we could use the barbecue, although we didn't. But the garden was nice and big for the dog to stroll around with. The tennis court made my childrens stay active and energetic. They were happy to play till their hearts were content. The house was really nice and there were no real problems during our stay. Although the blind fell off the wall in the master bedroom. But this was fixed by someone the next morning. And it didn't affect my nights sleep. I managed to put it back up. But the fixings were not very good any more.
