This superb detached lodge is set in a tranquil, rural location on the edge of Exmoor National Park. The contemporary interior is bright and airy and boasts air source underfloor heating throughout the property. The living area and bedrooms all have French doors with level access onto a large south-facing decked patio with views through the pine trees across the open countryside and three steps down to the garden area. This property is ideal for less mobile guests and wheelchair users, being situated all on one level, ramp access to the entrance, and an en-suite wet room in one of the bedrooms.
It is perfect for couples who are seeking a quiet ’get away from it all’ break with their four-legged friends, and is even complete with an enclosed garden area.
Exmoor is inhabited by ponies and red deer, with heather-clad moors and pretty villages on your doorstep. Visit the highest coast in Britain, Dunkery Beacon, with its panoramic views, Porlock Weir and Minehead with their pretty harbours and the South West coastal path for longer walks and breathtaking views.
The property owners welcome electric car owners, and can provide overnight charging facilities using a standard 3 pin plug at 3Kwh at a fixed cost. Please advise if you require this facility in advance. Beach 6 miles. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
Oak Lodge can be booked together with Ash Lodge (ref 28715) to accommodate up to 8 guests.

We took our elderly parents away for a long weekend who both have very limited mobility and we was amazed how accommodating the lodge was The accessible shower room couldn't be any better plus the living accommodation The weather wasn't the best but the walks were great We will be returning again hopefully in the summer and perhaps help out on the farm. Only downside was the local shop was a little out the way but the pub was only a few minutes away for food and drink. Friendly hosts

A little disappointed with location of lodge as photos do not show its close proximity to other farm buildings. Owners assumed that, because there were only two of us, we would not need second bedroom and so bed in second bedroom was not made up and no bedding was available so we had to ask for bedding. Also lodge is described as having a washer which is not in fact true as it should have more correctly said 'use of washer on farm available on request'.

Had a fantastic very short stay. The lodge was excellent, clean, warm, quiet and so comfortable. I was particularly delighted with the disability en-suite in my room. It was so well equipped and made life so easy. There was an outside light, possibility a security light from farm house which disturbed my friend a little. Absolutely plan to come back for at least a week! Because it was such cold weather we didn’t see many birds but I’m sure we will next time. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Chamberlain.
