Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Beachside Cottage in Minehead is situated close to the seafront in this lovely seaside town and offers luxury accommodation for six guests. Renovated in 2021 and furnished throughout, it is well-suited for family holidays and within easy reach of shops, restaurants and the beach. On entering the front door you are welcomed by the hallway with the living room off to the right. There is direct access from the living room through French doors to a private walled garden.
To the left of the hallway is a separate dining room which seats six comfortably, benefiting from a large window with a sunny aspect to the garden. This leads down a step into the large kitchen and breakfast bar area. The kitchen is well-equipped with all new appliances, accessories, crockery, cutlery and glasses. In addition, there is a large breakfast bar with three stools. Upstairs from the hall you reach the half landing, then to the left up a few further stairs is the twin bedroom and down a step to the master bedroom which has a super kingsize bed that can be converted to two singles upon request. To the right of the half landing are a few further stairs to the family shower room and the double bedroom which has an en-suite bathroom.
Outside, there is a private enclosed walled garden which is perfect for relaxing and enjoying al fresco dining amongst our palm trees or a barbecue evening, with ample outdoor seating for all the family on the decking area. There are two private parking spaces exclusively for guests to use, and two dogs are allowed to stay for no additional charge.
Minehead sits on the edge of Exmoor National Park and is the starting point of the Southwest National Coastal Path, the UK’s longest countryside trail. It’s also the terminus for West Somerset Railway, the country’s longest heritage line. If walking is your passion, you’ll find endless scenic routes and charming pubs nestled among the hills and moors. The town offers a range of attractions including the beach, promenade, harbour, gardens, and a tree-lined avenue with shops and amenities. Overlooked by the wooded slopes of North Hill, Minehead is known for its outstanding natural beauty and makes an ideal base for exploring both coast and countryside.

Beachside Cottage is a lovely property for a holiday .It's is a good size with a nice enclosed garden ideal for doggies .The location is excellent, shops ,beach and supermarkets all within easy walking distance The games room was an added bonus .Lovely Pool table .Excellent on site parking for 2 cars The cottage was very clean and comfortable with some special touches. Loved the illuminated boat wall decoration All the decor was very inkeeping with the seaside theme .We had a very enjoyable holiday and we would definitely recommend Beaschside Cottage .Gary and Tracy the owners were available if necessary, they were very friendly and gave us lots of information on the local area which we much appreciated. We stayed in Beachside Cottage in July. Gary and Tracy have created a wonderful holiday home that caters to your every need. The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival, there are two parking spaces which are close to the cottage back gate for unpacking. The beds are so comfortable that I want to try and buy the same for our home! The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. Washing up liquid and a sponge etc were under the sink and there was handwash provided for each sink along with a few dishwasher tablets and a toilet roll in each toilet. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk are provided although we used our own. There was ice in the good sized fridge freezer in trays plus the mugs and glasses are a good size (which is a bug bear of ours when you go on holiday and everything is smaller than at home!) The lounge is really comfortable and the smart TV was fabulous so that you can log into your own streaming services or use the Netflix that is provided. I loved the two chairs at the back of the lounge, they were so comfortable and where I sat most of the time with the patio doors open. The fully enclosed garden is fab, we ate outside several times and also had a BBQ. (tip, take disposable ones with you). Gary and Tracy's communication is spot on and very helpful. The position of the cottage is perfect, you are tucked away from the high street where you can find pretty much anything you need but just a minute walk from the beach. We have two dogs so this was fabulous. We arrived on a very hot day and I popped out with the dogs on my own around 9pm, the beach was vibrant but friendly and it was a really lovely vibe. My husband played a round of golf at the local club. Everything is really right on your doorstep including the fabulous steam train. We were struck by how friendly Minehead is (not having visited before). We had a fab day out in Dunster and everywhere is dog friendly. There are many take aways and pubs on the doorstep that we want to come back next year to try the places we couldn't fit in. We also found a great grassy area to walk the dogs and let them off over by McDonalds (which is a 10 minute walk much to my son's glee!). I cannot recommend Beachside Cottage enough and if you are thinking about it, just book! :)
