Tacker Street Cottage is a quaint and peaceful retreat with a beautiful setting and comfortable beds. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, open fire, and the cottage's charm, despite some noting it could benefit from updates, particularly in the bathroom. The location offers lovely walks and a friendly local pub, though access may be challenging for those with mobility issues.
The cottage generally maintains good standards of cleanliness, with some guests noting it was very clean. However, there were mentions of a 'bit grubby' appearance and 'damp smell' in the bathroom, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful walks, and proximity to a friendly local pub. The picturesque setting by a babbling river adds to the charm, though access can be difficult for those with mobility issues.
Guests find the beds comfortable and appreciate the extra blankets and the cosy atmosphere created by the open fire. However, some guests mentioned issues with water pressure and the lack of a proper shower, which affects the overall comfort.
The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, but there are several comments about the need for updates and repairs, particularly in the bathroom. The lack of a powerful shower and some appliances not working properly are noted.

Tacker street cottage was quite and peaceful set in a pretty location with beautiful walks from the door. It was warm and cosy the storage heaters meant you woke up to a warm place every morning and the open fire and wood burner was so cosy at night. The beds were very comfortable and the linen was clean and crisp, plenty of hot water when using the immersion heater nice to have a relaxing bath. There was everything we needed there Mrs Thomas has thought of everything, we would highly recommend this cottage.

The cottage is lovely overall and in a beautiful setting. The beds are comfortable and have plenty of nice bedding. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of plates / cutlery / pans etc. We used the open fire in the evening and the storage heaters give background heat. The owner of the cottage was helpful in meeting us and showing us around the cottage. However, we would have liked to know that there was temporarily no water supply to the cottage at the outset, rather than one week before our visit, when there was no opportunity to make alternative arrangements. Drinking water and plastic containers of water were provided but they were not nearly enough to last a weekend with 3 occupants.
