Less than half a mile from the centre of Brixham, this traditional fisherman’s cottage is an ideal base for exploring South Devon. With exposed beams, an open fire and two sun terraces, it is a fantastic bolthole for year-round getaways. Explore bustling Brixham with its charming shops and eateries, busy harbour and beautiful beaches before jumping in the car or on a boat to visit the neighbouring towns of Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes.
When you’re not dining out in Brixham town, rustle up delicious meals in the family kitchen/diner, which contains everything you should need. At the front of the house, a delightful lounge boasts exposed beams above, oak flooring below, a charming stone fireplace with open fire and a selection of DVDs for those quiet nights in. Upstairs, the bedrooms are light and airy with fresh neutral decor and wonderful views over the rooftops of Brixham. Heading outside, steep steps lead from an enclosed courtyard area up to a fantastic sun terrace. With a table and bench, this is a peaceful spot for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening sunshine.
Just a short stroll from the centre of Brixham, this property is within easy reach of the local shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. When the sun is shining, grab an ice cream and take to one of the local beaches, which include the peaceful Fishcombe Cove (0.5 miles) and the tidal pool at Shoalstone Beach (1 mile). When you have finished exploring the area on foot, jump on one of the many boat and ferry trips that leave Brixham harbour each day for neighbouring Dartmouth (5 miles) or Torquay (8.5 miles), or even try your luck on a fishing trip.
