Try out scuba diving at Breakwater Beach, 2.5 miles away, boasting some of the warmest and calmest waters in the country or, for a more peaceful picnic, head from the front door and down the hill less than 0.5 miles to reach Fishcombe Cove, a shingled beach hidden by the high cliffs and steep wooden valley that surrounds it.
