Guests say

Samphire in Brixham is praised for its spaciousness, lovely views, and well-equipped nature. The property's location is ideal for exploring the town and surrounding Devonshire areas, despite the steep steps. Guests appreciate the comfortable layout and the bonus of private parking. While some noted minor issues with facilities and maintenance, the overall experience is positive, with the property's charm and location being significant highlights.

The property is described as 'spotlessly clean' by a guest, indicating high standards of cleanliness. No negative comments about cleanliness suggest guests are generally satisfied.

The location is highly praised for its views and proximity to the town centre, despite the steep steps and hill. The convenience for exploring nearby towns adds to its appeal.

Guests find Samphire comfortable, with its spacious layout over three floors. However, concerns about steep stairs and the need for stairgates with children slightly affect the comfort score.

The property is well-equipped, but some guests noted issues with small appliances for the group size, lack of stairgates, and maintenance concerns like a leaky pipe. The lack of a welcome pack and outdated photos were also mentioned.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the host. While the lack of a welcome pack was noted, this does not directly relate to thoughtfulness in terms of gifts.

Samphire is a spacious property with lovely views out the back. It is well equipped and having an extra shower was a definite bonus. The stairs are quite steep especially down to the kitchen/diner. The location is excellent for being able to walk down into Brixham although there are 75 steps to come back up! We would definitely book Samphire again if we wanted to return to the area.

Great place with fabulous views. Just a few minutes walk down into town (the steps do get easier) Loved to sound of the church bells.

Brixham is a lovely town and Samphire is ideally located (just be prepared for steep hill walking and /or lots of steps). Samphire is comfortable and split over three floors and well equipped. its ideally sited to visit other Devonshire towns such as Torquay, Exeter, Exmouth, Dartmouth, Totnes and Salcombe. On the negative side there was no Welcome pack and the information folder was woeful with no information about how to use appliances, no recommendations for local restaurants, local walks etc. There was no information on where the broadband hub was located and how to access the Wi Fi and I had to try to phone, text and WhatsApp the owner but with no reply. I eventually figured it out but I only got a text reply on the Tuesday which three days later ! What would have happened if we could not have been able to access the property ? The owner should be on hand 24/7
