Corner Cottage in Malmesbury is a charming and well-maintained property with a cosy atmosphere, often compared to the film 'The Holiday'. Guests appreciate its cleanliness, tasteful decoration, and proximity to local amenities. While parking can be challenging, a nearby reserved space is provided. The cottage's characterful features, such as the open fire and exposed brickwork, add to its appeal, although the steep stairs may not suit everyone.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with guests noting high standards of cleanliness. One isolated complaint about stained sheets and a sour-smelling shower curtain suggests a minor lapse but does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.
The location is highly praised for its convenience to Malmesbury's town centre and attractions. The proximity to cafes, restaurants, and shops is a plus. However, parking difficulties and noise from the main road are noted, slightly affecting the score.
Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. However, the steep stairs and limited headroom in places, as well as the layout of the bedrooms, are mentioned as potential comfort issues for some guests.
The cottage is generally well-equipped, with a special mention of the cosy living room and fire. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a non-working kitchen heater, coffee machine, and bathroom fan, which suggest room for improvement in this area.
Guests express gratitude for the thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack with tea, coffee, and biscuits. While these gifts are appreciated, it is important to note that such extras are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Its a lovely place to stay and there was even a lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, etc - very helpful. The only constructive critisium would be that it would not be suitable for anyone with bad legs, due to the stairs. Also parking can be a pain, although there is an allocated space a short walk away. I would add that we were aware of this before we booked this cottage.
