Unfortunately we’ve been unable assess this category comprehensively enough based on the reviews we’ve received from guests about this property.
Guests have pointed out issues with water pressure, a weak toilet flush, and a slow-draining basin. These are minor but suggest that some attention to maintenance is needed.
One guest mentioned the absence of a welcome pack, which is a thoughtful touch often appreciated. While such amenities are not guaranteed, their presence can enhance the guest experience.
Ipswich 5.1 miles. Enjoying an idyllic rural setting in Witnesham close to Ipswich in Suffolk, The Stable is a beautifully presented barn conversion, which is ideal for a family holiday or couples travelling together. Boasting a wealth of traditional features, the property still offers all the home comforts you’d expect from any holiday home. The open-plan living space has that real ‘wow’ factor as you walk in with original tiled flooring, exposed wooden beams and wood panelling helping to create a truly rustic feel. The area is separated into a large seating area which is a lovely sociable space with an elegant dining area all set up ready for guests to enjoy long, lingering meals together. There is also a fully fitted kitchen which is well-equipped with everything needed to produce wholesome food for the whole family and if the sun is shining, then you might be able to dine alfresco in the gorgeous gardens which offer stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Come bedtime and the two bedrooms are both beautifully appointed with feature wooden beams and wood panelling helping to create a wonderfully cottagey feel. In the morning, jump in the bath for a relaxing soak, grab a coffee on the patio and soak up those views one more time before heading out for the day. The nearby village of Witnesham is a beautiful rural village with a small selection of shops and a traditional pub, whilst the town of Ipswich is just a few miles away and is well worth a visit. If you want a round of golf then check out Fynn Valley Golf Club which is open to non-members and there are loads of walks, hikes and cycle rides in the area which make the most of the captivating rural views. Attractions for the whole family to enjoy include Easton Farm Park, Melford Hall, RSPB Minsmere, Sutton Hoo and Go Ape Thetford. Head to the seaside with your bucket and spade and visit towns such as Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and Southwold which all have a good selection of shops and amenities and great beaches. For an authentic rural stay in a beautiful barn conversion, book a holiday at The Stable.
Ipswich is one of England’s oldest towns, believed to have been created in Anglo-Saxon times and built up more and more around the dock since then. Now, the dock area has undergone a large redevelopment, offering a good selection of restaurants and bars overlooking the marina. As well as a selection of historic buildings around the town, it is also home to the youngest Grade I listed building, a large, glass-built commercial office building in the town centre. Ipswich was awarded the cleanest town award in 2007 and has a number of things to do, including a good selection of shops to browse and brilliant restaurants and bars, not to mention being home to Ipswich Town Football Club! The town offers a central location for exploring the popular county of Suffolk, with its beautiful heritage coastline, historical villages and beautiful waterways; a great place to visit, all year round.
