Offton is a peaceful village in the Suffolk countryside. At the centre of the village is the recently and lovingly converted opulent Ottos Barn. Get back to nature and enjoy scenic walking routes right from the doorstep. Middle Wood (1 mile) is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest where you can find a vast array of wildlife and plants. Immediately opposite the driveway that leads up to the property is a fabulous country pub that has a friendly atmosphere and is dog friendly. For further amenities, Hadleigh is a lovely local market town. Take a trip with all the family to Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park (12 miles) and if the good old English weather is on your side, visit Alton Water Sports Centre (18 miles). The Blue Flag beach at Felixstowe (24 miles) has a long stretch of sand and shingle backed by a picturesque promenade.
Step inside this stunning barn conversion, which has been finished to a very high standard, and head through to the double-height, open-plan living space. Retaining traditional features such as beamed ceilings, combined with stylish and contemporary furnishings and decor, this space is perfect for sociable evenings and has a Smart TV and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with light. Prepare food in the kitchen, complete with a large island. Then eat together at the large dining table seating eight, and reflect on the day on the lounge’s comfortable sofas. The first bedroom is accessed via its own staircase from the living space. This master bedroom has a sumptuous super-king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. It also boasts lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The other three bedrooms on the ground floor all contain king-size zip-and-link beds for flexible sleeping arrangements. Two of the three king-size bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, and there is an additional family bathroom which has a bath and a shower.
There is a balcony to the master bedroom for early morning coffees as the sun rises. Outside the barn, there’s a private courtyard which has a space for eating and entertaining, including a BBQ, a pizza oven, and a hot tub. Two of the bedrooms open onto patio areas with seating as well, and are enclosed within the courtyard. Guests will also have access to a separate games room where they can get competitive over a game of pool or table tennis. Private parking for five cars is provided.
