Mallards is only a mile from the local pub and a short distance away to the historic town of Bury St Edmunds, home to Green King brewery, where you will find restaurants, a market, shops, Abbey gardens and the famous cathedral. The apex theatre has shows on all year round. The best way to discover Bury is by doing a town trail. If you like historical houses pop along to Ickworth house, an Italianate palace. The mid Suffolk light railway takes you on a steam train ride through the Suffolk countryside and they hold special events throughout the year.
