Enter the property to find an open-plan living area, featuring a lounge/kitchen/diner. There’s a wood burner to make the space cosy, and during the day you’ll get lots of natural light through the glass doors. Continue up the staircase to find a twin bedroom, a king-sized bedroom with an en-suite, and a family bathroom. There’s a private garden and decked area with a BBQ for warm evenings, so try a little sunbathing while the food is cooking. This property is part of a larger group of cottages with plenty of shared spaces, including a laundry room, and storage areas where you can keep surfing and cycling equipment. One of the other converted barns is a play and dining area, with plenty of games, including table tennis. Complete your holiday with a hot tub, available with an additional charge.

For beach days, head 0.5 miles to Shingle Street. Go for a paddle and look out for a house you may recognise from the film 'Yesterday'. For fresh water and water sports, try either the River Alde or the River Deben. Alternatively, amble 1.5 miles to Hollesley, a small village with a pub and some other amenities. Finally, visit Simpson’s Saltings, 2.5 miles away and packed with wildlife.

- Hot tub – guests can directly hire and pay for a hot tub via Suffolk Hot Tubs. A separate charge of £30 for a weekend booking or £50 for a week for heating the hot tub is payable to the owners during your stay – they should be notified of any hire in advance so they can facilitate access and setup.
