Occupying a sublime setting within a Grade II conversion, Saffron near Reydon in Suffolk, rests in 12 acres of communal gardens just asking to be explored and is an ideal holiday home for a family or couples travelling together. The open-plan living space is located on the first-floor and boasts a spacious sitting area with tasteful blue décor to reflect the setting near to the sea. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything needed for creating fantastic food for the whole family and there is a stylish dining area for enjoying long, lazy meals together. The bedrooms are both beautifully and stylishly presented and offer a calming sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of holiday life. Outside there are acres and acres of grounds to explore as well as a fabulous communal swimming pool and gymnasium, which subject to availability, gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a dip and a workout. While it’s tempting never to leave the home comforts of Saffron, there is so much to see and do, you need to get out and about exploring. The property gives easy access to the many attractions along the East Suffolk Heritage Coast with loads of delightful walks and cycle routes, and for keen birdwatchers, there is the renowned RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere. Just a short distance away is stunning Southwold where you will find a great selection of shops and eateries as well as a pier, lighthouse and fantastic sandy beaches and what it’s best known for: its collection of brightly coloured beach huts. Head along the coast and check out other seaside towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Dunwich and Walberswick. Jump in the car for a scenic drive to attractions such as Halesworth Museum, Framlingham Castle, Sutton Hoo, Go Ape Thetford, Easton Farm Park and Africa Alive Zoological Reserve. For a captivating holiday in a sublime rural setting, a visit to Saffron is a must.

Saxmundham is a small market town located on the River Fromus, in the heart of Suffolk’s Heritage Coast. The town is well serviced with independent shops, local museum, supermarkets and a train station, as well as art galleries, a weekly market and a farmers’ market. Situated so close to the coast, Saxmundham is a great base for a seaside holiday; within easy reach of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, as well as Dunwich, Southwold and Walberswick, you could enjoy a different coastal location each day. Also close by is the inland market town Framlingham with beautiful historic architecture, a castle and an array of independent shops. South of the town there is the well known tourist destination of Sutton Hoo, an ancient Royal Anglo-Saxon burial site. With Ipswich an easy drive south, and Norwich an easy drive north, there’s so much to see and do in and around Saxmundham.
