Formerly an Edwardian Grammar School, 7 Old Grammar School, resting in Leiston, has been carefully renovated to create a unique holiday home for those looking to explore the coast and countryside of Suffolk. With quirky accessories and contemporary décor, be welcomed into a fantastic open-plan living area with a woodburning stove to relax you as you enjoy a coffee in the stylish sitting area and plan the day ahead of you. The kitchen is simply stunning, bursting with home-from-home amenities and with contemporary black décor and wooden worksurfaces, it is a space that no budding chef will be able to resist, so why not cook up a storm and enjoy it at the tasteful dining table, where two lamps hang from the ceilings and artwork adds a sense of opulence? There are three bedrooms awaiting your relaxation, beginning with a ground-floor king-size with a zip-link that can be set up as a twin on request, as well as two doubles, one with an en-suite and each with their own character, and a family bathroom.
Outside you will find a table and chairs where alfresco dining can be enjoyed. Leiston offers a range of eateries, as well as shops and pubs, so you can stock up on essentials and enjoy a family meal in the sunshine. If you love history, then there is plenty on offer for you, including the David Silver Honda Collection for lovers of all things motorcycles, The Long Shop Museum and last but certainly not least, the impressive remains of Leiston Abbey, where you can enjoy a picnic in the grounds. Leiston is located in the heart of the Suffolk Heritage Coast and offers excellent links to the popular seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh. The town thrived by manufacturing steam tractors, and cast and machined metal products, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The town is now home to many of the workers of the nearby power plant, Sizewell, and is served well by an active leisure centre and the oldest purpose-built cinema in Suffolk, which today offers the latest digital 3D projection systems! The 14th century remains of Leiston Abbey lie northwest of the town and its high street has a good range of shops, banks, pubs, restaurants and takeaways, plus a Post Office and a library. RSPB Minsmere is a short drive away towards the coastline of the Suffolk Heritage Coast, which offers lovely walking opportunities through this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The log burner was a delight. We loved the open plan layout and all of the furniture was extremely clean and comfy. It was a great base for beach walks at Sizewell and a bus trip to Aldburgh. Jimmyâs Farm near Ipswich was fantastic. We ate at The Dolphin in Thorpness twice, the Brudenell in Aldburgh and had a Chinese takeaway from the High Street - all lovely. We sampled every pub in the town and all were very welcoming. Our two Norfolk Terriers I loved their holiday. Thank you very much. We would love to come back again in the future. Sarah, Alex, Willow and Holly the dogs.

We loved it. 5 adults and a dog, plenty of space and it felt comfy. We went for new year's for a chilled evening in and it was perfect.

We appreciated the welcome pack, all the local tourist information, the informative folder, the Faith in Nature toiletries etc. Although the property is for 6 people, there were only two of us and would have appreciated a selection of smaller pans just to boil eggs/peas etc. One of the best properties we've stayed in - and we have stayed in many!!
