Orford Castle, directly opposite and accessible via the property's castle path, awaits exploration, and the energetic can climb to the castle's top for sweeping views over the town and marshes. Nature enthusiasts can venture 0.5 miles to the quay, embark on a boat trip to cross to the Orford Ness National Nature Reserve or Havergate Island, and spend the day hiking along trails while birdwatching. Alternatively, head 7 miles to Rendlesham Forest and explore the woodland on foot, bike, or horseback.
