This beautiful cottage has lots of period features such as exposed beams, wooden and stone floors and a large inglenook fireplace, making it a lovely cosy place to return to after getting out and about in the local area. It is well equipped to ensure your holiday is a home from home with all the comforts you would expect. There are generous sized living spaces downstairs with a separate dining and sitting room, both with a wood burning stove. The kitchen has a range style cooker and other amenities along with a small table and chairs. The enclosed back garden accessed from the kitchen, is a quiet and peaceful suntrap to relax in.
The stairs to the first floor lead off the hallway and, in keeping with the charm of this period property, twist around through 180 degrees to the first floor landing. The main bedroom has a double bed whilst the second bedroom has two single beds.
Outside the cottage there is parking at the front with an outside gate leading to the garden at the rear. This has a large area of patio and garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue to enjoy the space. There is a small lean-to which is ideal for storing bicycles if you want to explore the area on two wheels.
Additional Information:
Sorry, no pets.
In keeping with the character of the cottage the stairs are steep and twisting.

Great break. This was a short notice break to add to a week in Norfolk. It didn't disappoint. Very comfortable and warm cottage that was ideally placed for us to explore Suffolk. I would recommend this as an excellent area if you do not know Suffolk well. The cottage was very well appointed and had everything we needed including 2 playful squirrels who visited us most days in the rear garden. Thank you for making this a cottage we would love to return to in the future.

Great cottage. Kitchen well supplied with enough plates, utensils etc to be able to fill the dishwasher before switching on. Even had plastic food storage containers which are normally missing. We really appreciated the screen in the dining room, which enable our teenagers to hook up their console, and enabled the lounge then to be an area of peace. The Wifi was also appreciated by all the family. The beds were really comfy. The only disadvantage was the toilet downstairs - nothing to be done about it, and clearly stated in the description, but as the double bedroom / twin beds were upstairs in meant the less agile middle-aged parent had to negotiate the character staircase!!!Really liked the discreet sensor lighting on the staircase which saved the need to find the lightswitch in the evening - a good call.Would recommend to able bodied friends.
