With a games room and a cinema, Hogbert’s Hideaway has it all, This custom designed truly unique holiday home was once the visitors centre for the Carlton Marshes Wildlife Trust. As you can imagine the location is simply amazing with uninterrupted views of the Suffolk countryside. With walking trails through the reserve to the banks of the broads it’s a wildlife lovers paradise. The house has the added addition of a large patio area, its own cinema room with a 2.2 metre screen and a games room. It is the ideal base for a family holiday or for friends to get together to relax and unwind. Within a stones throw, the Carlton Marshes Centre offers a café, adventure playground and daily activities. Within walking distance and accessible through the reserve there is fishing, sailing boat hire and lessons, paddle boarding and day boat available at Oulton Broad with numerous pubs and restaurants.
Only 3 miles away is the popular resort of Lowestoft, which offers traditional seaside entertainment. Children will love Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park, which is just a short drive away. Just down the road is Africa Alive, or visit the lovely seaside resort of Southwold, famous for Adnams Brewery, the pier and summer theatre. Dunwich Heath and Beach, rspb Minsmere, Aldeburgh with its fishing boats and local seafood, and Snape Maltings Concert Hall are also easily accessible. Hire a boat on the glorious Norfolk Broads and watch the weekly speed boat racing on nearby Oulton Broad. The medieval city of Norwich, with its fine shopping, castle, cathedral and museums, is an easy drive. Beach 3.5 Miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

An excellent accommodation and location for a brief stay for 10 including 4 children.Wonderfully equipped to keep everyone happy and when they say they wanted to stay longer you know it’s been a hit.

Lovely house in a great location. There were 8 of us and a dog and we would love to stay again. The movie room and air hockey were a real bonus, well used and, great if the weather isn't so good. The cafe in the Carlton Marshes was another great asset, reasonable and lots of gluten free choices. The Flying Dutchman pub just a few minutes away was also a regular haunt during the week. Reasonable prices and food was very good (and took the dog). Overall an excellent stay, thoroughly recommend.

A wonderful place for a family break. Such a bonus to have the nature reserve surrounding the property, which had a play area and cafe a real bonus for our 5 year old grandson. Hogberts Hideaway is so we equipped and wonderfuly decorated throughout. We made full use of the cinema room when we weren't using the bar football or air hockey. No chance of getting bored. One of the best venues we have hired. Thank you
