An exquisite apartment at the heart of vibrant Southwold, this impressive retreat is perfect for enjoying both the characterful town and its picturesque surroundings. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom getaway sits on the second floor of the building close to the independent shops, gastro pubs and tea rooms that Southwold is known for. Stroll just 100 metres to find yourselves on the golden sands of the beach, with its row of colourful beach huts. Amble less than 0.5 miles along the seafront to visit the quirky pier with its unusual, interactive displays. Enjoy sizzling hot fish and chips or a locally made ice cream before wandering down to the boating lake. Approximately 1 mile in the other direction from the apartment is Southwold Quay, famous for its crabbing and fresh seafood shacks. From here, you can also catch the rowing boat ferry across to Walberswick, where there is another beach.
Climb the external metal staircase before making your way up to the top level of the building. Enter to find yourselves in an airy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has been tastefully decorated in understated grey shades to a gentle coastal theme. Enjoy the views out across the town from the windows. Lay a fire in the grate on crisp evenings, then choose a comfortable seat and watch TV or read as the flames flicker in the background. Head over to the immaculate kitchen to prepare the tasty Suffolk produce you have sourced, then sit down to your feast at the wooden table. Make fresh coffee in the machine to linger over afterwards. When you are ready to turn in for the night, your sumptuous bedrooms, with their fresh linens, have the same cool, restful atmosphere. The welcoming twin is to the rear of the apartment, while the double has views to the front. The family bathroom offers both the option of either a quick shower or a long soak in the bath.
Unfortunately, due to its very central position, this superb apartment does not have any outside space. Guests are, however, within 100 metres of the grassy stretches of the Parade and the fresh air and sunshine of the beach. Parking for the property is on the street, subject to availability.
