A magnificent holiday home tucked away at the heart of vibrant Southwold, on the Suffolk coast, this is a perfect hideaway for a group stay. Sleeping up to four guests comfortably in two spacious bedrooms. Canine companions are also always welcome in this wonderful retreat in central Southwold. Stroll out from here to browse in the myriad of shops in the town centre and choose between a spectrum of eateries. Grab your buckets and crabbing lines and wander down through the common and marshes to the quay to see what you can catch. Buy seafood while you are here and take the rowing boat ferry over to Walberswick, with its beach. While away hours on Southwold Beach, just 350 metres from the property, as well.
Step through the front door into the large lobby with plenty of storage for coats, shoes and even bikes. From here you enter the kitchen/diner, with doors that can be opened on to the courtyard garden on fine days, and has a generous space for preparing and sitting down to group meals. Stairs from here lead up to the main lounge/diner and a king-size bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, with roll-top bath. There is also a separate WC at this level. The lounge has a high vaulted ceiling, with gorgeous, exposed beams and a brick chimney breast. There is comfortable seating and dining furniture in here to allow guests to really spread out, plus a Smart TV, with Sonos speakers, for alternative viewing. A staircase from this level leads back down to the ground floor of the east wing of the house, where there is a twin bedroom, space for your own travel cot and a futon for an additional guest if discussed at booking.
The split-level, stone-paved courtyard is a delightful sun trap area, with space for outside dining and relaxation. There is also an undercover storage area for bicycles and beach gear.
