Guests say

Fountain Front Barn is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its peaceful countryside setting, welcoming hosts, and cleanliness. The addition of a hot tub and Christmas decorations were appreciated touches, enhancing the relaxing atmosphere. While some guests suggested improvements for privacy and comfort, the overall experience was positive, with many looking forward to returning.

The property was generally found to be immaculately clean by most guests. However, one review mentioned an issue with damp-smelling bedding and towels, which suggests a possible inconsistency in cleanliness standards.

The location is described as conveniently close to local amenities while still offering a remote countryside experience. It is within a short drive to pubs, shops, and parks, making it an ideal setting for a peaceful retreat.

Guests found the accommodation lovely and the atmosphere cozy. Some guests mentioned the bedding was rough and the bed was just okay, indicating room for improvement in the comfort of the sleeping arrangements.

Facilities like the hot tub, smart TV, and kitchen appliances were well-received. However, there were comments about the hot tub's privacy and temperature, and a dark bathroom, suggesting some aspects of the facilities could be better maintained or improved.

While guests appreciated the welcoming touches such as a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and Christmas decorations, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures across all stays. Therefore, it should be noted that while these thoughtful gestures enhance the experience, they may not be guaranteed for every guest.

Lovely place to stay. Close enough to access all the facilities you need, but feels remote due to its countryside surroundings. Hosts are so helpful and welcoming. Any small problems were resolved promptly and communication was excellent. We had a lovely time. No stress, all relaxation!

We enjoyed our time here, it was nice that the host met us upon arrival and showed us around. There was a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which was a welcomed surprise. Unfortunately the bedding and towels were not laundered to an acceptable standard, they smelt very damp as though they had been washed and then left in the machine for a few days before being properly dried. After having a shower it is not pleasant to dry yourself on towels that smell damp. The bedding was rough to the touch which again was not pleasant to sleep on, coupled with the smell it really wasn’t a great sleep. I did consider washing the bedding and towels myself but the machine in the accommodation had the same smell when I opened it and I wasn’t prepared to clean that myself. We only stayed for 2 nights so it wasn’t the end of the world and I didn’t contact the owners about it, we just go on with it and showered once we were home. The owners seemed nice enough and I’m sure if we had of mentioned it they would have sorted the issue but as we were there for such a short time it didn’t feel necessary. I would encourage future guests to perhaps bring along their own towels etc, it could have been a 1 off but with the washing machine smelling damp too I would air on the side of caution.

I really enjoyed my stay, in the small but perfectly formed barn conversion. To make this stay better the hot tub area could be more secluded so other guests cannot see in. A grassed area when saying “dog friendly” would be more suitable. A guest book and recommendations for places to visit would really help others new to the area.
