Oma's Cottage, a delightful one-bedroom property located in the quaint village of Little Compton in the heart of North Cotswolds. Near the historic Four Shire Stone, that marks the place where the four English counties of Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and formerly also Worcestershire meets. Boasting beatiful Cotswolds surroundings, near the owner's home and a stylish interior with contemporary furnishings, Oma's Cottage is the perfect base for couples seeking a romantic getaway to the Cotswolds. After parking in one of the two off-road parking spaces, make your way into the living area, which features elegant furnishings and an electric fireplace, where you can relax and watch your favourite show on the TV. Conjure up flavourful feasts in the fully-equipped hand painted kitchen, decorated with forest green cabinets and featuring a handy dishwasher.
Tuck-into your meal at the dining table for four, or if the weather is nice, why not dine alfresco out in your very own private garden? When sleep calls, head up to the first floor where you can drift off in the sumptuous king-size bed. Neatly tucked away on the first floor, you will find a convenient washing machine and tumble dryer along with a spacious walk in wardrobe, ideal for keeping your holiday wardrobe fresh and neat! Enjoy a leisurely morning soaking in the stunning roll top bath or indulge in a revitalising rinse in the walk-in shower, before preparing for the day in style ahead of a day of adventures. Walk to the nearby friendly Red Lion Inn, which serves good pub fare and local ales and is a perfect pit stop or end place after a country walk. Just a short car journey away is the award wining Daylesford Organic Farmshop, offering fresh organic produce, Spa/Wellness and a range of in and outdoor cafes and restaurants. You are spoilt for choice to decide where to go for a meal out.The area offers a very good selection of excellent pubs and Restaurants. Unfair to name only a few but The Wild Rabbit in Kingham, Oxheart in Long Compton, the Old Butchers In Stow or the Churchill Arms in Paxford are just some. You are less than 9 miles from Soho Farmhouse. With Neolithic and Bronze Age heritage available at The Rollright Stones and Butlers Hill Fishery to choose from, there's something for everyone to enjoy on your trip to the Cotswolds. You're in the perfect spot for a range of gorgeous hikes, including the 102-mile-long Cotswolds Way, which is easily accessible from Oma's Cottage. Check out Chipping Norton, where you'll find shops, a theatre, the Almshouses, and the Chipping Norton Museum. Moreton-in-Marsh has direct train links to London Paddington, and why not get your fresh bread from Otis and Bell the Cotswold artisan bakery and patisserie. All of the attractions of Stow-on the-Wold are within easy reach, and the town's art galleries and restaurants are a delight to visit. Visit the Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre or the National Trust Snowshill Manor and Garden for a memorable outing with your loved one. Kingham has been voted England's favourite village and is beautifully situated in the heart of the Cotswolds between Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford. It has an abundance of historical buildings and is referenced in the Doomsday Book. Most of the village is constructed from traditional Cotswold Stone. The village hosts two awarding pubs - The Kingham Plough on the Green and The Wild Rabbit voted Michelin Pub of the Year in 2016. Daylesford Organic farm shop, cookery school and spa is 5 minutes away. There are numerous other gastro pubs and restaurants which are easily accessible from Kingham by foot, bike or car.
