Hayloft Barn is consistently praised for its peaceful and charming setting, offering a blend of historical character and modern amenities. Guests appreciate the quiet location, comfortable and stylish accommodation, and the proximity to nature and Hay-on-Wye. The hosts are commended for their responsiveness and hospitality.
The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness. However, one review mentioned the presence of dead flies and some dirty crockery upon arrival, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
The location is highly valued for its tranquility, proximity to the river Wye, and ease of access to local attractions such as Hay-on-Wye. The scenic walks and views are frequently highlighted.
Guests find the barn cosy, warm, and comfortable, with a rustic charm that contributes to a restful stay. The accommodation is described as spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a pleasant experience.
Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of an electric car charging point and modern conveniences. However, some guests noted steep stairs and limited mirrors, indicating that certain aspects could be better suited to a wider range of needs.
While guests mention welcome gifts and thoughtful touches like dog treats, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Really good base for seeing local family. The hayloft is warm, cosy and works well for an agile dog. The building is comfortable, beams and wooden floors make it really interesting. Hay is 10 minutes away by car or you can walk cross-country by the Wye in an hour.We will be back.

An absolute gem of a place near Hay-on-Wye - its been designed beautifully and was the perfect base for our family of four. It took us about an hour to walk into Hay with a 4 and 7 year old along the gorgeous Offas Dyke Path. 10/10 - would definitely stay again.

Really unique hayloft conversion with great views. Really quiet and peaceful, but short, easy drive into Hay. Hosts were really responsive. Just be aware it's a loft (clues in the name!) so there is a flight of stairs to negotiate if you have a lot of luggage! Would highly recommend
