Madley is on the edge of the Golden Valley in Herefordshire, boasting two pubs and a convenience store. Madley is between the 'town of books', Hay-on-Wye, and the city of Hereford. Madley offers a network of footpaths with views, and is close to the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains. Hereford is seven miles away, with its 'chained library', and a bridge crossing the River Wye.

The welcome basket was a great bonus! Jonathan was an attentive host. We took our dog and the surrounding area was beautiful for walking and the garden was a real plus for Bailey. We had everything we needed in the accommodation and everything was great! Lovely village and local pub with fab food. Thank you had a fantastic time.

The property is in excellent condition, it had everything we needed for our long stay of over 2wk. It was comfortable, warm, bed was extremely comfortable,shower had plentiful hot water, appliances were all new and the granary design was modern and stylish. We really felt at home during our time there, and would have extended our stay if it wasn't already booked by someone else! Would definitely recommend for short or longer term stays.

The property was spotlessly clean, light, warm and airy. Owner was friendly and exceptionally helpful. Storm Bert had flooded the normal approach to the property, but the owner ensured we had alternative (and dry!) access. A hospitable welcome bowl of fruit and other staples. Location is excellent for both Hereford and the rest of the rural County. Weâd have no hesitation in returning.
