Flo's Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring along the Welsh border countryside. We were walking the Offa's Dyke Path and it was well positioned for the middle sections. We brought two cars with us and could always find space in the free parking on The Square, just around the corner from the cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the bed with the "Emma" mattress was VERY comfortable. The heating was efficient and warmed the cottage up quickly when needed. The kitchen was light and sunny and well equipped. The pretty little garden at the back of the cottage is a lovely place to sit on warm evenings. We really appreciated the generous Welcome Pack from Jan which was full of local produce from the excellent deli in Kington. The local butchers in Kington is outstanding. So lovely to still have a traditional shop like this on the high street.

A perfect place to stay with our two dogs 🐶 🐶Flo’s cottage was clean, comfortable and very dog friendly, it makes such a change not to have a list of ‘no dogs’ everywhere. Everything on the doorstep, including lovely walks, pubs and shopping. We meet lots of very friendly and welcoming people, will definitely be back 😀

Flo's Cottage is really sweet and has all the facilities you would need, of high quality. It is a very small cottage with steep stairs and low ceilings so you really have to adapt to that. Not ideal for the 6ft 4in member of our party, including the beds as all had footboards (if you are over 6ft your feet go over the end of the bed so an iron or wooden footboard is really restricting). Also, we were there during a very cold spell and the front room - the main sitting room - got really cold and draughty in the evening. (The old door has gaps round the frame and there is single glazing in the window). The owner thoughtfully provided extra blankets which we used (and I bought a lovely thick cardigan from a great gift shop in town!) The extra sitting room on the first floor - The Snug - was indeed really snug, along with the rest of the house. The bathroom is effectively in a cupboard but it was fine when we got used to that. The kitchen was great and looked out onto a very pretty yard which would be lovely to sit in during warmer months. All in all a really great if tiny cottage in the fabulous town of Kington. A great array of shops - shout out to the greengrocers and Bopsom's Emporium - and what landscape and history to explore in the surrounding hills and villages!
