The Hop Kiln in Herefordshire receives high praise for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and beautiful location on a working farm. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful owners, the well-equipped facilities, and the property's suitability for families. The picturesque surroundings and peaceful environment make it an ideal retreat, though some guests mention a fly issue during warm weather.
Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting the tidiness and high standards maintained. One review mentioned a fly issue, but this seems an isolated incident rather than a reflection on overall cleanliness.
The property's location is frequently described as beautiful and picturesque, ideal for exploring and enjoying the countryside. The peacefulness and proximity to attractive villages like Pembridge are appreciated, although the remote nature and access via tight lanes are noted.
Many reviews mention the comfort of the property, with its spacious rooms, underfloor heating, and good-sized beds. The property is described as warm and comfortable, suitable for both small and large groups.
The facilities are generally praised for being well-equipped and maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen and ample space. However, some guests noted the lack of certain basics and a mop, and the presence of flies detracted slightly from the experience.
While guests find the property well-equipped and the owners attentive, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.
This 16th century detached barn conversation is the largest of four Luntley cottages on the owners' working farm in the hamlet of Luntley, and offers character beams, wall timbers and a beautiful living area with underfloor heating. A spiral staircase leads to the three bedrooms, which again boast ceiling beams and wall timbers, and this whole Luntley cottage has been tastefully furnished to offer cosy, comfortable accommodation. This welcoming Luntley cottage is the perfect base for a family holiday or break with friends. This cottage can be booked with Refs 2215, 2216 and 2217 to accommodate 22.
Luntley is a hamlet, tiny in size and rural in location, set to the north of Herefordshire in the Welsh Marches. Visitors to Luntley will enjoy the walking and cycling available in the surrounding countryside, while for amenities with character, head 2 miles down the road to Pembridge, a medieval village on the Black and White Village Trail, whose half timbered houses, three olde worlde pubs, 14th century market hall and interesting church make this village a firm favourite with visitors. Hereford and Hay-on-Wye are within easy reach, and well worth the trip.

Lovely large family accommodation just the 3rd bedroom is too small for bunk beds in our opinion but daughter and grandson slept okay on sofa bed downstairs In all good few days would use again

The outside space was especially brilliant for our 4 boys! Perfectly situated for visiting lots of interesting places.

My grandchildren particularly liked playing in the paddock. We had great weather during our visit so it was nice to sunbathe in the back garden which is quite a sun trap. The cottage is situated in stunning (peaceful) surroundings so great for long walks or cycling. The owners are so lovely and close by should you need anything. We will definitely stay in this cottage again when we are next holidaying in the area.
