Guests say

The Granary receives glowing praise for its immaculate presentation, warm and welcoming hosts, and peaceful rural setting. Guests consistently highlight the cottage’s comfort, excellent facilities, and beautiful restoration, making it feel like a home from home. The location is ideal for exploring local towns and countryside, with many appreciating the tranquil atmosphere and wildlife. Minor negatives include a rough track to the property, occasional coolness downstairs, and slightly rough towels. Overall, guests highly recommend The Granary for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Multiple reviews describe the property as immaculate, spotlessly clean, and beautifully maintained, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness.

The rural, peaceful location is widely praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions. One minor mention of the rough track leading to the property is the only slight drawback.

Guests frequently mention the cottage is warm, cosy, spacious, and comfortable, with only one review noting the downstairs area can be a little cool at times.

The cottage is described as very well equipped, with all necessary amenities provided. The only minor issue raised was the efficiency of the underfloor heating in the kitchen/diner.

Hosts are repeatedly described as warm, welcoming, and attentive, with thoughtful touches such as Christmas decorations and bird feeders noted. While some guests mention festive decorations and small touches, please note that such gifts or extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

The Granary is a delightful, historic place to stay. Beautifully converted into a comfortable well furnished property. John and Jan the hosts were very helpful and friendly and made our stay really enjoyable. The surrouding countryside is lovely and we enjoyed the walks form the farm. The garden was perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening sun !

Wow, this Granary dates back to the 15th century and the tasteful renovation has been carried out to an immaculate standard. It is so spacious yet lovely and warm with every extra you would need for a home from home holiday. The Wi-Fi works very well and is a handy feature in this modern era.The hosts Jan and John are lovely hosts and maintain the Granary and surrounds to a high standard. If you are a twitcher then you will not be disappointed as the bird feeders they have attract a wide variety of birds including woodpeckers. The surrounding area has so much to offer with lovely villages and towns as well as numerous national trust sights. We have nothing but admiration for this Granary and strongly recommend.
