Children may be lucky enough to enjoy a tractor ride with the owner to feed the chickens and pigs. The village of Peterchurch has a selection of pubs and restaurants, if you feel like a night off from the cooking, or slightly further afield is the well-known market town of Hay-on-Wye where you can browse the myriad of bookshops and relax with your purchases in one of the many cafes and restaurants. The surrounding countryside has a wealth of footpaths to explore with the Offas Dyke Path, Herefordshire Trail and Wye Valley walk nearby, or for the more energetic head for the hills of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
