About this property

Bridgnorth 2.4 miles. Set on an exclusive park near the Astbury Falls Waterfall in Astbury, Shropshire is 6 Astbury Falls, a Scandinavian Redwood Solid Pine lodge. Single-storey and ideal for a relaxing break among friends, this lodge has a stunning décor, with an authentic lodge feel and touches of decoration paying homage to the local wildlife. On arrival, hear the waterfall as you unload your bags, before stepping back out onto the decking to savour a cup of coffee at the alfresco dining table. Make your way inside to the social hub of the lodge, an open-plan living space where you can rustle up home-cooked meals in the full-equipped kitchen, fitted with matching SMEG appliances adding to the neatness of the design. From here, gather at the dining table for six, before cosying up to watch the Smart TV while you warm in front of the electric fire. Get some rest before an adventurous day; three beautifully presented bedrooms offer plush beds to rest your head, made up of two doubles and a twin, while the shower rooms are where you can prepare for your day in style. When you don’t feel like cooking, a short drive will lead you to a good number of restaurants to choose from, including Montgomery's Bar - Restaurant, or head in the opposite direction to reach the charming town of Bridgnorth for more options. Enjoy a day out at the Dudmaston Hall and Gardens, wandering the perfectly manicured estate, or perhaps give the train enthusiasts of your group the chance to explore the award-winning heritage railway, Severn Valley Railway. Slightly further away is the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, full of picturesque landscapes to explore on bike or foot, with quaint villages and towns to stop off as, such as Church Stretton and Shipton. If shopping and dining is more your style, the city of Wolverhampton is another scenic drive away and home to a fantastic selection of pubs and restaurants. A stunning lodge in an idyllic location, choose 6 Astbury Falls.

Bridgnorth is divided into two distinct halves: the High Town and the Low Town, which are separated by the town's red sandstone ridge. The two halves are connected by meandering alleys and flights of steps, or there is always the steep funicular railway, permitting the weary visitor to witness what Charles I deemed "the loveliest vista in all my kingdom". A bustling Saturday street market provides ample opportunity to tour the town and investigate the castle remains, which lean more than the Leaning Tower of Pisa!

In a fabulous spot - quiet and tranquil but only a short distance to Bridgnorth. Lovely walk to the golf club.

Our problem rose with SYKES, they did not inform us that the road was closed. The part we wanted was open but it took 40 minuets & a phone call to find the entrance. Please keep up-to date with road changes.
