Guests say

Kite's Nest is a charming and peaceful cottage set in beautiful Shropshire countryside, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the well-equipped accommodation, tranquil gardens, and proximity to scenic walks and local attractions. The owners are frequently commended for their friendliness and helpfulness, with many guests noting the delightful presence of animals and thoughtful touches. Minor issues such as occasional maintenance suggestions and local footpath signposting do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience. Many guests express a desire to return, highlighting the cottage as an ideal rural retreat.

The majority of reviews describe the cottage as spotless, very clean, and well maintained. Only one or two minor mentions of dead flies or the need for a tidy were noted, but these were exceptions rather than the rule.

Guests consistently praise the stunning, peaceful location, with easy access to walks, gardens, and local attractions. The rural setting and beautiful views are frequently highlighted as standout features.

The cottage is widely described as cosy, warm, spacious for two, and comfortable, with particular mention of the beds and living areas. A few minor comments about draughts or small ground floor space were noted but did not significantly impact overall comfort.

Facilities are generally rated highly, with guests noting the well-equipped kitchen, good WiFi, and access to gardens. Some minor suggestions for improvements (e.g., washing machine, updated TV, bath mat) were mentioned, but overall satisfaction remains strong.

Many guests mention the owners' friendliness, helpfulness, and thoughtful gestures such as welcome gifts (e.g., daffodils, biscuits). While these gestures are appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for all guests.

About this property

A lovely terraced Church Stretton cottage on a working farm, offering open plan, quality accommodation including original oak beams, a mezzanine bedroom and an en-suite. A perfect Church Stretton cottage for a romantic break. Note: This cottage is next to Ref 4139 and together they sleep 7.

The rural village of Eaton-under-Heywood lies under both the famous Wenlock Edge and the woods that run along it, and is surrounded by scenic countryside. It is set amid striking scenery and has often been described as "Little Switzerland". Other local attractions include walks on the Long Mynd, the Acton Scott Working Farm as seen on TV, and Stokesay Castle. The historic towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, Much Wenlock and Bishops Castle are only a short journey away.
