About this property
This is an incredible, spacious, converted barn situated on the owner's working farm in the Shropshire village of Cockshutt, just five miles from Ellesmere. The exposed wooden beams, en-suite facilities, open plan living and beautiful extensive gardens make the property the perfect spot for friends and families to come together and enjoy a well deserved break. Note: This property comes next to Ref. 930312, together they sleep up to 20 people.
Cockshutt is surrounded by Shropshire countryside and has a pub, village hall, primary school and a parish church. 5 miles away is the market town of Ellesmere, which offers Tudor, Georgian and Victorian buildings, a church and a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, it's surrounded by meres and lakes. Close by is the Colemere Country Park where you will discover wildlife. 12 miles south is Shrewsbury.

The kitchen was well-equipped with Neff appliances. It's my first rental cottage with an air fryer - very useful. The ground floor accommodation was suitable for disabled people. One of our party was in a wheelchair and had no complaints. The location was a bit remote but very beautiful with amazing views from the windows.

We all agreed that the property was nicer in âreal lifeâ than in the on line pictures. It was light and airy with very comfortable beds. A shower upstairs didnât work too well but we managed. And the kitchen area got a bit cramped when too many were trying to cook and clear up. May be a case of âtoo many cooksâ! The house is in a lovely location with 360 degree views. We loved it but it might feel remote for some. Sadly the fishing pond was very dried up after the summer we had and this was disappointing to the children. But they made good use of the variety of games on offer.

The open plan layout of the ground floor was spacious. There was a lovely welcome pack of a fruit loaf, milk and Prosecco and everything needed for washing up was provided, which was handy as the dishwasher was a small one. We also appreciated the fly spray, although we only used it a couple of times. We had lovely hosts who were very accommodating and resolved our minor queries very quickly. Weâd be more than happy to return. âºï¸
