This detached lodge is sat on the owners small holding in a superb location for exploring the delightful borderlands of England and Wales, with the historic market town of Oswestry with its fine selection of shops, restaurants and pubs just 4 miles away. The location offers a myriad of family attractions and opportunities for outdoor pursuits close by. Canadian canoes can be hired on the nearby Montgomery Canal and horse drawn boat rides can also be enjoyed.
Wonderful walking, golf and fishing are all available nearby. The historic city of Chester and Shrewsbury are both under an hour’s drive and Snowdonia National Park is easily accessible. Shops and restaurants 4 miles, pub 1 mile.

I stayed at bumble cottage with my brother who is 88 . It was so comfortable, warm and spacious . Everything we needed was there . The view from the window overlooking the fields was peaceful, we could relax after going out early . Its a lovely short drive to the local pub and into Oswestry . We stayed late in the year and would love to come again in the summer. .

Lovely lodge but a couple of things my husband is disabled and he had a problem walking on the slate outside and the steps where a bit high but he managed. The bath room was lovely but there was no handle to get in the bath a bit high for me wish there was a separate shower but other than that it was a lovely place to stay every thing there even oil to cook with thanks it is a lovely lodge
