Stayed in the Moorhen Lodge for 4 nights (Fri to Tue) in mid-June and what a cracking little find. Out of the way enough to feel like you could switch off from the busy lives and world we seem to all live in these days but more than accessible enough from the main A5 road between Shrewsbury & Oswestry. The lodge we stayed in was clean, modern and spacious. Lovely little welcome gift pack left by the owner who also responded swiftly to a couple of messages/requests we had without fuss or issue. Towels (incl separate ones for use in the hot tub), bedding etc all provided. The hot tub was the perfect way to relax at the end of a couple of days of exploring Shropshire and North Wales. Helped that the lodge next to us was still under construction (no work taking place while we were staying there) so felt like you had a little more room and privacy but can’t imagine it’ll be an issue when it’s occupied anyway. Can definitely recommend and will look to return at some point in the future.
