I would have given 5 stars but we had a few issues. The wi-fi was non existent, l was finally able to quickly download a book at 1am. The chair which looked very nice in the pictures was so uncomfortable you couldn’t sit on it for more than 5mins. Perhaps a new seat cushion would be a good idea. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

Unfortunately we booked this cottage for the week Storm Goretti rolled in so we were inconvenienced the first couple of days by snow but the forecast looked better for the rest of the week and then Storm Goretti arrived promising blankets of snow across the region we were staying and we felt it prudent to cut the holiday short and come home. Therefore, this review is given based on extraordinary circumstances.The cottage was very warm and cosy which was a godsend. It was clean and well equipped. The WiFi was a bit temperamental and we were unable to connect the smart TV to it as it said the signal was not strong enough, however, this was under the circumstances detailed above so it may have been atmospheric. Having said that, Freeview TV was fine and there were DVDs, books and games provided for entertainment.The location of the cottage is quite remote but very well situated for Welshpool, Shrewsbury and Oswestry and there are a wealth of National Trust properties in the area not to mention beautiful scenery, peace and tranquility, and access to the Shropshire Hills.

The cottage was all beautifully decorated for Christmas for us.It is newly converted, very well equipped, and extremely cosy.
