The secure garden is ideal for dogs, and the cottage is perfectly placed for scenic walks and exploring Shropshire. The host is frequently commended for excellent communication and thoughtful touches. Multiple reviews describe the cottage as spotless, beautifully clean, and well-maintained, with fresh bedding and a high standard of hygiene throughout.

Guests love the peaceful, picturesque setting with beautiful views, easy access to walks, and proximity to local amenities and attractions.

The cottage is repeatedly described as cosy, comfortable, and warm, with special mention of the beds and relaxing atmosphere. Some mention the bathroom layout and steep stairs, but these are minor compared to the overall comfort.

The cottage is well-equipped with a modern kitchen, secure garden, and thoughtful extras. The main drawback mentioned is the absence of a washing machine, which may affect longer stays or families.

Guests frequently mention generous welcome hampers and personal touches from the host, such as fresh bread, cake, and local treats. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Elsie's Cottage is probably one of the nicest cottage we have ever visited. The cottage overlooks beautiful countryside and has a lovely garden to enjoy the views. Our welcome pack was fantastic and Jane, our host, had thought of everything we could possible need for our stay. The inside of the cottage is compact, but set out beautifully and the fire place is incredible. There are shops, pubs, walks and restaurants nearby and lots of places to visit. We had a lovely time at the cottage and would definitely come again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely quiet break away.

We had a lovely relaxing week at Elsie's cottage. The location is very peaceful with beautiful views, and the cottage itself is very cosy, spotlessly clean and with a very comfortable bed! The welcome basket of essentials and treats was a nice touch.
