Set in six acres of private countryside in Aston, Shropshire beside the River Roden, this riverside bell tent offers a peaceful, off-grid glamping stay where you can wake to birdsong, relax to the gentle sound of the river flowing by and unwind in the evening as the sun sets over the surrounding fields before soaking in the wood-fired hot tub. For those feeling more adventurous, it's perfectly located for exploring National Parks across England and Wales.

As you arrive and drive down to Roden Retreat, you really are getting away from it all. The bell tent is set down by the river and erected on decking making it a lovely spot for watching the water babble by and wildlife roam.

Inside you can find a king-size bed complete with linens and towels. The tent is lit with lanterns and the log burner makes the evenings cosy and warm. There are side tables and a coffee table with storage where you can unpack your belongings.

There is a camping stove along with all crockery, cutlery, glassware and pots and pans.

The separate bathroom area is in a cabin, also on the decking, and includes a butler sink, shower and WC.

A rattan dining table and chairs are also on the decking for those that love dining al fresco, along with a gas BBQ.

Taking centre stage is the wood-fired hot tub (not water jets) which is the perfect place to spend the evenings watching the sun go down and stars come out.

Roden Retreat is ideal for a romantic stay for two or a small family with a child. Additional Information:

One well behaved dog welcomed for an additional charge. The accommodation is set in a rural location, surrounded by open fields and a river. It is advised that dogs are kept on the lead.

Please note you can't fish or swim in the river.

The wood-fired hot tub usually takes a few hours to reach the right temperature - enough logs are provided but if you require more this can be purchased on site.
