It’s located in the peaceful village of Westbury and within a mile of a friendly pub serving local food and drink. Around 8 miles away, historic Shrewsbury has plenty to discover, from boat trips on the River Severn and picnics in the Quarry to the town’s 1,000-year-old castle. To the east of the town are Attingham Park (14 miles) and Wroxeter Roman City (15 miles), where you can wander among the remains of a public bathhouse and play Roman-themed games. Across the border into Wales, Powis Castle and Garden (15.5 miles) boasts an extraordinary collection of artefacts, along with 17th-century Italianate terraces and impressive giant yew hedges.
Spread across the ground floor, the accommodation is accessed through the garden, where you’ll be greeted by an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Warm tones, homely furniture and skylights make this social space feel bright and welcoming. The well-appointed kitchen boasts everything needed for a self-catered stay, and you can choose to eat at the farmhouse table here or al fresco out on the patio. Completing the living space is a comfortable lounge area, where soft seating is arranged around a Smart TV for cosy movie nights together. A couple of steps lead down to the first of two bedrooms: a master king-size room with exposed brickwork and beams, garden access through patio doors, and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. The second bedroom is a cheery twin room, perfect for either children or adults, and is served by a family shower room with another walk-in shower and WC.
