We spent our bank holiday weekend here as a family of two adults and two young children, and it was lovely! The owner Henry was very friendly and welcomed us on arrival. The cottage had everything you could have needed and more, even down to little things like children’s table wear and cutlery. It is a very spacious cottage and well decorated. The hot tub was great once you get the hang of it being wood fired, a new experience for us. You have to keep on top of it though otherwise it takes a long while to reheat. Starter logs are provided but it’s then £1 per log, payable by cash. There is no where that delivers takeaway wise so it’s best to bring food with you - the nearest shops were in Rugeley about 15 minutes away. Milk and cookies were left as a welcome gift which was a nice touch, and great to keep the kids occupied as we unpacked the car!Overall we had a lovely stay and would return in the future!

Great accommodation, clean and bright. Quiet and remote. Did make getting a takeaway quite tricky and JustEat/Uber eats said they wouldn’t deliver so best to take your own food. We visited Cannock Chase which was only about 20 mins away in the car and that was great! Would go back.
