Acorn Lodge is highly praised for its peaceful location, modern comforts, and thoughtful touches. Guests enjoyed the well-equipped lodge, the luxury of a hot tub, and the charm of the surrounding countryside. The presence of a friendly local cat, Jenkins, added to the homely feel. While most feedback is positive, a few guests noted issues with hot tub readiness and one negative experience regarding cleanliness and maintenance.
The majority of guests found the lodge to be very clean and in perfect condition. One review mentioned a smell of cigarette smoke and poor quality furnishings, but this seems to be an isolated case not reflected in other feedback.
The lodge's location is frequently described as peaceful and lovely, with beautiful views and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests mentioned the access road being bumpy and in need of repair.
Guests consistently report the lodge as comfortable, with comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. There was a single complaint about the quality of bedding and pillows, suggesting room for improvement.
Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and the bonus of a hot tub. However, there were comments about the hot tub not being ready upon arrival and one report of maintenance issues, which lowers the score slightly.
Many guests appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs and toiletries. While these gifts are mentioned positively, it's important to note that such extras are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
