No smoking.. Peaceful hamlet setting.. This lovely barn conversion is ideally situated in a quiet Staffordshire hamlet, yet is within easy reach of the motorway for ease of access and touring. The holiday property has a welcoming living room with a cosy log burner, and an adjoining games room in which to relax.
There are plenty of walks available from the house, and it is conveniently located just 5 miles from the pretty town of Eccleshall. Visit Isaac Walton’s cottage and museum at nearby Shallowford, the beautiful Trentham Gardens at Newcastle-under-Lyme, or Stoke-on-Trent, home of the potteries, and the exciting Waterworld water park. The Wedgewood museum is nearby, and fun for all the family can be found at the famous Alton Towers Theme Park, just 20 miles away. Shops and restaurant 4 miles, pub 2 miles.

The Old Stables was an ideal base for a family get together. There are plenty of attractions just a short drive away. The house is well equipped and spacious, and there is plenty of room to spread out.We would recommend it for multi generational family groups.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We came with kids and adults to enjoy a bit of time away and visit Alton Towers and this accomodation was exactly what we needed. We comfortably parked 3 cars in the drive although the gap to get to the driveway is quite tight but it was okay for us in the family cars.Quiet area but a short drive from takeaways and easy enough to get to a convenience shop or supermarket. The house was clean, warm and nicely decorated. Very tidy and a great size too. The kids also enjoyed playing on the grassy part of the garden and it was just such a relaxing weekend being able to sit and rest while they played happily. Only request would be to fix the bathroom handle in the master bathroom and more forks in the kitchen.

Brilliant, clean, really large cottage. We were six adults and it was plenty big enough. Really comfy beds.The host always replied to messages quickly and answered questions while we were there. They had left some milk and snacks for us in the kitchen! Everything provided - towels, tea towel, Fairy liquid, soaps etc. In beautiful countryside. We had a quiet, relaxed time as a family group. We found one public footpath walk through fields. I recommend a pottery workshop at the Wedgewood factory nearby.
