Wheatlow Brooks Barn is highly praised for its stunning, high-standard accommodation and attentive host, Eliot. Guests consistently mention the property's beauty, cosiness, and peaceful rural setting. The bespoke furniture and warm fires add to the charm, making it a top choice for a relaxing retreat. While most experiences are positive, a few guests suggest improvements in heating and kitchen equipment.

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score for this category.

The location is frequently described as peaceful and quiet, with beautiful rural surroundings. It's close enough to towns and attractions like Alton Towers, making it an ideal retreat that's not too isolated.

The barn is consistently described as cosy, welcoming, and beautifully furnished. However, one guest mentioned the property was cold due to difficulty with the coal stove, suggesting a slight deduction in the comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and spaciousness. Some guests noted a lack of kitchen equipment for specific cooking needs and suggested the provision of guest instructions for the log burners.

The host's thoughtfulness is highly commended, with mentions of a warm welcome, helpfulness, and local knowledge. Gifts for guests are noted, adding a personal touch, though it's important to note that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Stone is a market town and civil parish in Staffordshire, England. The town was named after a pile of stones were taken the River Trents and used as gravestones for the two princes Ruffin and Wilfad. The church was built over these stones in 670 and lasted until the 9th century before being destroyed by invading Danes. Stone's reputation for excellent food & drink is cemented by the monthly Farmers' Market and the annual Autumn Food & Drink Festival. The festival takes place the first weekend in October and brings together the very best in local produce and cooking talent. The hosts Eliot and Shirley are lovely, they are very friendly and make you feel so welcome. It was like visiting friends, you don't get that most places which is sad. We did go out and visit places but were reluctant to as we wanted to just stay at the place and relax. Very peaceful. Fantastic place to stay, should be charging more for this stay as we have stayed in properties that have not been as good for more money. Eliot has done a brilliant job on this conversion, very spacious and comfortble. We will definately visit again!!

Wonderful unique property that has been restored to a very high standard. Beautifully furnished and decorated with bespoke items, well equipped, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The location is ideal to explore lots of different places of interest in the area. Elliot, the owner, was the 'icing on the cake'! He could not have been a better host - friendly, helpful, very informative with plenty of ideas for the best local attractions. I would recommend this property to everyone.

The Barn is a beautiful space, and the atmosphere is completely relaxing. We have stayed in many properties over the years, and this is definitely one of the best. We didn't have very good weather during our stay, but in the end it didn't matter as we enjoyed being in the Barn so much. Eliot was incredibly thoughtful and nice to chat to, and was brilliant with our ten-year old. He made some great suggestions for where we could visit locally, and we found the surrounding area is interesting, with easy access to good towns. We would really recommend this property to others!
