Stone is a market town and civil parish in Staffordshire, England. The town was named after a pile of stones were taken the River Trents and used as gravestones for the two princes Ruffin and Wilfad. The church was built over these stones in 670 and lasted until the 9th century before being destroyed by invading Danes. Stone's reputation for excellent food & drink is cemented by the monthly Farmers' Market and the annual Autumn Food & Drink Festival. The festival takes place the first weekend in October and brings together the very best in local produce and cooking talent. It attracts over 20,000 visitors to the town and runs for one week with the 'main event' on the town's Westbridge Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Wonderful unique property that has been restored to a very high standard. Beautifully furnished and decorated with bespoke items, well equipped, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The location is ideal to explore lots of different places of interest in the area. Elliot, the owner, was the 'icing on the cake'! He could not have been a better host - friendly, helpful, very informative with plenty of ideas for the best local attractions. I would recommend this property to everyone.

The Barn is a beautiful space, and the atmosphere is completely relaxing. We have stayed in many properties over the years, and this is definitely one of the best. We didn't have very good weather during our stay, but in the end it didn't matter as we enjoyed being in the Barn so much. Eliot was incredibly thoughtful and nice to chat to, and was brilliant with our ten-year old. He made some great suggestions for where we could visit locally, and we found the surrounding area is interesting, with easy access to good towns. We would really recommend this property to others!

The fire and candles gave out an amazing atmosphere. The gentleman who lit the fires in the morning and runs this this house is really friendly and helped us make the weekend just perfect, gift basket was a really nice touch, all in all we could not have been happier. Will defiantly come back :) thank you
