A round dining table comfortably seats four guests, creating a cosy spot for shared meals and conversations. The living area boasts a comfortable corner sofa, which converts to a double sofa bed, and a Smart TV, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Patio doors open onto a private decked area, allowing natural light to flood the space. The bedroom is a serene haven with a plush double bed offering stunning views over the surrounding fields. It also features overhead cupboards, a wardrobe and a vanity table, ensuring ample storage and convenience. The bathroom offers a full sized bath with overhead shower. Outside, the private decked area with garden furniture is perfect for al fresco dining. Guests are welcome to explore the expansive garden, a bird watcher’s paradise, and includes an open pond, adding to its natural charm.
Rudyard itself is a delightful village known for its stunning lake, which provides a serene backdrop for leisurely walks, picnics, boating, fishing, horseback riding and model steam train rides and cafe. Nearby, the historic market town of Leek offers a variety of attractions and activities, including charming shops, cafes, and traditional pubs. Ivy Lodge is a perfect gateway to the breath-taking Peak District National Park, where endless opportunities for hiking, cycling, and exploring await. A short drive away is the famous attraction of Alton Towers theme park, Splash Landings water park and Peak Wildlife Park. Further afield you can explore the quaint towns of Castleton, famous for its underground caves/caverns and castle, Bakewell, for the renowned Bakewell Tart or visit the spa town of Buxton, England’s highest market town.

We enjoyed a peaceful 3 night break at Ivy Lodge. Occasional cars pass by on Green Lane, views of garden, paddock and fields are lovely. Electric heaters soon warmed up the Lodge on a frosty day. Well equipped and bonus supplies greeted us on arrival.

Cosy comfortable and well-equipped Lodge. Very clean and welcoming. Had a very enjoyable stay despite Storm Claudia causing a power cut. Would love to return to see the lovely garden at its best!

We loved our stay at Ivy Lodge. It was clean, well-equipped, warm, and comfortable. The extra welcome touches when we arrived made it more special (cake, a bottle of bubbly, chocolates...and more!). The owners were welcoming but unintrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. On the first morning we had difficulty with the microwave which turned out to be a fault. Within an hour they came out, confirmed the fault and replaced it with a new one. It's a very pretty location, peaceful, with lovely walks and amenities close by. It's ideal for couples (and in our case, our dog), and if you're looking for quiet charm, with great pubs, walks, and shops within a short distance, this is a firm recommendation from us.
