This delightful end-terrace cottage offers a wonderful location in the heart of the historic Shropshire town of Ironbridge. Full of character, the property is within walking distance of the famous bridge itself, making a charming and romantic holiday home. With a genuine country cottage feel throughout, the ground floor has a sitting room with woodburning stove and a cosy atmosphere. The country kitchen is well-equipped with amenities and includes a Belfast sink and a separate dining area, with a feature fireplace and exposed beamed ceilings. Upstairs houses two bedrooms. To the rear, a peaceful twin room and to the front, a double bedroom from where you can see the famous Ironbridge itself.
The family bathroom has been well finished, with a shower over bath, basin and WC. The front of the cottage looks across the river to the town. It has a large lawned area, with a patio section and furniture. The rear contains a small patio area, again with furniture. The location of the cottage is ideal. Walk back up the bridle path and you are immediately standing across the river from the facilities of Ironbridge with its many traditional pubs, village shops and local tourist attractions and of course, a stroll across the Iron Bridge itself to get there. With its museums and gorge it is hard to tear yourself away from this wonderful location, but should you wish to explore further afield, Telford is only a few miles drive away, or to the west the vibrant market town of Shrewsbury and the beauty of the Shropshire Hills.

Known as the birthplace of the industrial revolution, Ironbridge is now a unique wooded valley with plenty of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes. Renowned for being home to the world's first iron bridge (built 1777-1779), this village offers an array of shops, pubs, restaurants and museums. Nearby are the towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock.

The cottage is stunning and kept in with the vintage feel. Lovely and warm and the log burner just added a cosy feel. We stayed for Christmas and it was perfect. Just what we were after, a lovely laid back, relaxed Christmas. It had everything you needed and more. The dishwasher came in useful for the Christmas dinner clean up lol. Definitely not suitable for disabled but as my husband only uses his chair for walking long distances we managed very well. Anyone staying over Christmas don't miss the carol service on the bridge. Fantastic start to a fabulous Christmas. Beds were super comfy and had lovely bedding and the bath is lovely and deep. We will be booking again and highly recommend.

The cottage was well equipped, clean and cosy, everything we needed for our week in Shropshire. Would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful part of England and this cottage would provide a good base with plenty of places to visit and a selection of eateries.

It was a bit bigger than the impression I got from the photos and just as tastefully decorated and furnished. We found everything we needed and little touches like spare bedding, should it be required, showed a lot of thought had gone into making guests comfortable. The setting was ideal and parking with the permit in the car park was very convenient. Anyone with mobility issues would find the steps between the car park and the cottage tricky although you can reach the cottage by car but you can't park there, only pick up and drop off.
