Located in the rural hamlet of Charlton offering easy access to Shrewsbury and Wellington. The Barn at Whitefields will appeal to those looking for a quiet rural retreat, yet well positioned for exploring the wider area. This two-bathroom barn conversion comes complete with a well-equipped kitchen boasting all the essential appliances. Upstairs there is a stylish open planned living/dining room with smart TV, a superb place to relax and enjoy a cosy evening. The patio doors lead out from the living/dining room to a glass balcony if you prefer to enjoy an al fresco dining experience. The master bedroom and boasts king size bed, Smart TV and ensuite. This room provides direct access to the patio area via bi-fold doors. Bedroom two features a comfortable single bed, with a pull out single bed which can be linked into a double bed (upon request), built in wardrobes, Smart TV and ensuite.
Shrewsbury town offers an array of shops, bars, and restaurants for guests to enjoy and there are also Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty close by, including the Wrekin trail up to the hill fort, Mortimer forest and the Shropshire and Welsh hills beyond. The Barn at Whitefields is situated on the national cycle route 81, between Aberystwyth and Wolverhampton, which will also appeal to cyclists. Visit the city of Telford with it’s fabulous shopping centre, parks and world-famous Iron Bridge and Gorge museums.

We have stayed in many different cottages over the years, the Barn however tops all the ones we have been to for comfort and space with lovely furnishings. We have 2 dogs and they were well secure in the outside areas. The view for the Wrekin on the upstairs balcony is stunning! We will definitely be back.

This was our second trip to the Barn. We loved it. It’s right out in the country down a pretty narrow lane. No shops near which didn’t bother us but might be an issue for others. The Barn is beautifully furnished and comfortable. We got chilly with sudden autumn weather and the heating worked well.We loved the views across the fields from the upstairs living area,. Very quiet area and peaceful. I have marked the amenities as poor because there aren’t any near, but it’s an easy drive to Shrewsbury or Telford. I guess nearest supermarket might be Tesco’s at Wellington.

Great place to stay, well equipped with everything you need. We liked sitting on the balcony and taking in the views across the Shropshire hills. Very peaceful and tranquil. Easy access for Shrewsbury, Telford, Attingham Park and Wellington and further away Oswestry and Wrexham. Bliss Hill Victorian Village well worth a visit.
