Lovely riverside cottage located within the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage site having river and woodland views. The cottage has a fishing point within the garden.. 2 steps to entrance.

Willow Cottage is a two hundred year old property built on the bank of the River Severn. It faces down the river with beautiful views that can be enjoyed after a busy day sightseeing , relax in the Gazebo enjoying a drink before walking to a local pub for an evening meal. Fishermen can walk down the lawn then several steps down the bank to a riverside point to fish.
The cottage is situated for easy off road walking to nearby Ironbridge and the major museums and features of the Industrial Revolution. Many National Trust properties are within short driving distances and can be accessed by public transport also as a bus route passes through the village and taxi service from the main line Telford Station. Set near to the Ironbridge, that was built in 1779 , the town offers guests plenty of choice for dining out with many bars and restaurants. Willow Cottage is an ideal venue for a relaxed restful holiday in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

Enjoyed our week at Willow cottage, ideal location for local attractions. Visited the gorge museums, RAF Cosford museum and the British ironworks centre as well as a day out in Shrewsbury including a river cruise. Will definitely be back.

The cottage is the perfect stay for being central to the many visitor attractions locally. Some may struggle with the lack of internet and in many ways it looks dated inside and out. But if you are paying under £500 for a weeks stay its value for money. Double bed was very comfortable and the sound from the river pushing by was the perfect accompaniment for getting to sleep. There is parking on site, which is fine for saloon/suv but estates will probably need to use the free car park opposite
