About this property

Nestled in the village of Napton-On-The-Hill in Warwickshire, is this lovely, detached shepherds hut, Robins Nest. Enjoying a contemporary interior with a blend of countryside with its wooden walls, this studio-style property is idyllic for a couple seeking a romantic hideaway. A single-track road will lead you to your holiday home, where you will find off-road parking and a front patio garden to savour the views. Climb two steps to reach Robins Nest and discover the open-plan living space, hosting a sleek kitchen area with an electric oven and hob to rustle up tasty meals. Join at the dining table to enjoy a heart-warming meal and crisp glass of wine as you recall the day's adventures. If the sun is shining, outdoor furniture may entice you to have an alfresco affair; here you can soak in the countryside views and the owner's nearby workshop until the sun sets. As the evening cools, retire inside and take a hot shower and you can leave your towel on the heated rail to keep it fluffy and warm. Snuggle up on the leather sofa and flicker through the Smart TV for a film night or climb into the king-size bed and escape into a good book. Enjoy a coffee on the side patio as your canine companion stretches their legs and make an itinerary for the day ahead. Explore your local surroundings with a visit to Wigrams Turn Marina, lined with boats or for a peaceful fishing spot there is Napton Fishing Pools, but if that's not for you, unwind in Napton Cidery. Settled in the Warwickshire countryside is the market town of Southam, hosting a selection of restaurants to get dressed up and independent shops for unique garments. Visit the medieval town of Stratford-upon-Avon, which is steeped in history as Shakespeare's birthplace and is home to The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, as well as boat cruises along the River Avon. For a romantic break to the countryside, consider Robins Nest.

A vibrant Domesday Book community with a 12th century church, a number of nice pubs, a great shop, Post Office, tearoom, and marina with narrow boat hire. Southam, a nearby historic town, has more services, such as a supermarket, a regular farmers' market, and a recreation centre. There are numerous walks in the vicinity, including the Millennium Way, Oxford Canal Walk, and Grand Union Canal Walk. Draycote Water, which offers 650 acres of water for sailors and windsurfers, as well as excellent hikes, cycle trails, birdwatching, and fishing, is also nearby.

Had everything we needed and was close enough to amenities if you run out. We could have happily stayed for longer. Garden enclosed so perfect for the pooch to run around in.

So peaceful and relaxing. Close to amenities, we stock up on food and beverages and shut the world out for a few days, but that’s just us, there are plenty of walks and places to visit too. We love Robins Nest and will be back next year if it’s available. Enjoy the peace x

6-7 O’Clock on Saturday morning. Burning off old plastic, wood , rubbish. Exploding tins or old gas canisters. Thick choking smoke. I ran out with a view to calling the fire brigade and was surprised to see the culprit on his digger pilling on rubbish to his fire. Not the best start to the day, nor was I expecting to have to scrub the ash off the car. This is not the owners fault. Normally the landscaping would obscure the yard and there is a great unobstructed view over miles of open countryside. It’s just on that particular day their neighbour was a bit of a git!
